Goldens Rescued in NC

A must read....
Some of you by now have heard of the tragic rescue situation in North Carolina.....a once reputable breeder/exhibitor allegedly left over 25 Golden Retrievers to starve to death in her grooming shop and home.  Police and animal control were tipped off and raided the facilities a week ago to rescue the dogs.....how long they were left in this
condition is not fully known, but the average weight of these ADULT animals was between 18 and 37 pounds (yes, those are the correct numbers).
It was truly a horrifying situation, and details are still sketchy as to how this could have happened. A few of the dogs were dead when found, and a couple others had to be euthanized due to their condition....but the good news is that most were able to be turned over to a local shelter and to the Foothills Golden Retriever Rescue group in NC. Other rescue groups in the area are taking a few of the dogs as well.
Below are a couple links to some photos and the stories of these dogs....I will warn you that these are quite disturbing photos:

The rescue groups are well equipped for supplies and manpower, but of course will be running very high vet bills for the ongoing care and recuperation of these dogs - most are not yet strong enough to endure surgeries such as spays and neuters, so only emergency procedures have been done so far.
to help out with the recovery of these dogs.
If any of you are interested in sending a donation, you can do so at:

Even a small donation will go a long way. Thanks, and hug your precious Goldens.....

This is an absolute OUTRAGE!!!
Can they locate this awful, horrible person?
If so, what will they get but some bad publicity and a slap on the wrist!!!???
