the '97 is father to both youngsters. babies are born half gold/half smoke and lighten continually as they grow. the mother looks like dad and is shown in the gallery. both parents are wc's from years back and have never attempted to bite. although shy, they are prolific breeders, having produced 38 babies in 3 years. they are separated this year and will not be bred again until the 04/05 season......
and he looks a lot bigger than when a saw him...
Shame that uni's and bt's are kind of drab when they are young...
people don't realize what awesome animals they become!
he's about a foot bigger now or about 8' . he will not get as big as some of his sons will though. the 02 shown is actually a bronze color instead of gold. ac and chris raden have an 01 and an 02 respectively that i have seen and are more the normal shade for uni's their age which is gold. it's kinda neat watching them change, sometimes abruptly so shed to shed. they generally hit full color at around 5' or about 1.5 years around here. lol..........
