can anyone [jiffy pop] show me how far to trim back my rhinos claws.
they seem to be getting a little long.
I dont want to trim them back too far.

I take just the tip off at first. In a few weeks I take just a hair more off. You will occasionally hit a quick. Have some paper towels and steptic powder if you're worried. Trim just the "thin hooked" park of the claw.

It might be easier to do it at night, after lights out, when he's a little cooler and kinda sleepy.
This trick works pretty well for us most of the time. All of the other advice was good stuff.

I dont know if this helps, but when i do pet fairs and educational shows, i like to trim their claws while they are hanging on their wire cages. They dont seem to notice as much!
