Curiosity & Determination - typically Yorkie!

MidnightMu May 18, 2003 09:13 AM

Our 14-week-old Yorkie pup, BoBo (Mr. Bojangles) is VERY interested in making friends with our overweight elder cat, Tornado (almost 11 years old, 17.5 lbs), who's resting (yeah, that's how he got so overweight) in the raised house.

BoBo shows the curiosity and determination of any Yorkie, in spite of Tornado's obvious disdain, LOL! Naturally, the cat's attitude doesn't impact BoBo at all.

LOL...we have a lot in common. My yorkie (Maverick) is 10 weeks old, and my cat is well over 10 years old (he was a stray we adopted 8 years ago) and weighs about 11 pounds. He is soooo lazy. This morning, he was napping and Maverick kept jumping on him, but he was too lazy to get up and move. LOL He just kept swatting at the puppy. I can't wait until the puppy settles down a little and they can nap together. It could happen!! hehehe

Aren't they so fun to watch?!?

They surely are fun to watch! In fact, I just happened to get some more really cute pictures last night.

Midnight was in the playhouse, and Xena was on the roof, occasionally swatting Midnight in the face. While he didn't like that, he sort of tolerated it, because he didn't want to give up his place in the house.

Then along came Misty (female pup) and BoBo (male pup about 8 weeks older). BoBo is a bit more adventurous (and able) and started to climb the "steps" to the house, so he could lick Midnight, and Misty's trying to help. Poor Midnight ... look at his eyes, LOL! Good thing for the pups that he's so gentle with them.

Actually, the Yorkies seem to think Midnight is a big Yorkie pup (though with an amazingly long and plushy tail). They follow him around everywhere, trying to play with him. He's not quite interested in doing so, but is very sweet and never swats them. He's more patient with them than I could have believed he'd be.

LOL...cute pic! My cat is solid black, too...we got real creative with his name...we call him Black Cat. hehehe So, you have 3 cats & 3 yorkies? Wow, I bet your house is hoppin' all the time. Never a dull moment, huh?

I just trimmed Maverick's hair for the first time tonight. He did not like it much. He is soooo hyper and I had a hard time getting him to hold still. I had to trim his ears, though, so they'll stand up. Poor thing had so much hair on his ears, they were heavy! Hopefully they'll pop up within a couple of weeks. I didn't get them very straight...I need more practice. LOL.

That is FABULOUS! Kaela is the same as Bobo, doesn't care if the cat(s) are 3 times here size...she jumps them and chews their ears...they are (mercifully) very tolerant of her.

Good kitty!
