I was thinking about feeding my dog 'Natures Best' by science diet...Any good?
Also, I'm wondering if anyone could suggest some good shampoos and brushes...Just general stuff.
Thanks in advance.

If you are interested in a "natural" food, there are many better options. There is a magazine called "Whole Dog Journal," basically like a consumer reports for dog products. Each year they come out with a top ten kibbles, I'd stick with one of those personally. Let me hunt up this year's list, I will post it later!

Plain water will freshen up a Beagle without having to use soap that will dry the skin. You can clean a Beagle nicely with a sponge bath of warm water on a washcloth, and drying with a towel.
A natural bristle brush is good, or a rubber curry groomer, or a hound glove, or a good massage with your hands.
For housetraining a Beagle, going outside with the dog and giving a tiny treat when the dog potties outside is effective--they love food.

Thanks for the advice. It'd be nice to see a list of good brands rather than to have to search in a pet store! Also, I was wondering if a scented spray for dogs will dry out their skin.
Thanks
