Hi this is my first time to this board-I have a two year old Golden named Hunter-He is such a clown, and is always there to put a smile on my face. Such a sweet Golden boy, I also have a six year old Collie named Lad, who is another one of the sweetest dogs on earth-Okay so I'm a little biased here.

Nice to meet you all.

Welcome Crystal, Hunter and Lad!

Please share some stories, photos of your furkids. We love to hear stories. I'm not fortunate enough to own a golden, but the folks here let me pretend.

Here's a bit more about my boys.

I got Lad six years ago from a puppymill (no flames please I was fourteen when I got Lad-and I did not know that these things existed at the time. ) I wouldn't trade Laddie for anything though -he is the sweetest dog, he may not be perfect in regards to standards-of course I think he is gorgeous and he has his share of health problems-but his temperament remains true to the Collie-he is a wonderful dog-he is one of my best friends-, He has matured into a wonderful dog-he went from being the completely dependent on me to a true partner in life-I never once have to question his loyalty or devotion.

I got Hunter two years ago-he was a gift from my friend on christmas, whose intentions were good, but she did not know byb's existed. Hunter has hip dysplasia and surgery looks like it may be in his future-though I want to give accupuncture a shot first and see how that goes. Hunter is another one of my best friends. He makes my heart laugh, he is constantly carrying something in his mouth and don't ask why but he has a preference for water bottles and socks-I'm trying to break him of the sock thing, but these two items are definately his favorites-he'll choose them over any toy in the house and he's got plenty. Hunter also has a fascination with mirrors-ever since he was a pup-he seemed to think it was another dog-he runs up to play, wiggles his butt and tries to get the "other" dog to join him in a game of tag-it's impossible to watch Hunter, being Hunter and not laugh.

Both Lad and Hunter are my therapists while Lad's remedy is a comforting head on my lap, Hunter is my clown, he can always bring a smile to my face-It's hard not to smile seeing him as he prances around like an overgrown puppy-his attitude always happy go lucky. He and Lad are both joys to share my life with.

I would love to post pics, but I don't have a scanner-I plan on buying a new one this week, but in the meantime is there anyway to post pics without a scanner? Of course I have no clue how to post pics at all so any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi!

First, you need to upload your photos to our Photo Gallery: gallery.pethobbyist.com/index.pl?cat=561&thumb=1

Then, when you go to write a post, at the bottom of the screen where you are typing your message, you will see a box that has: Select this Image From: with a drop down menu. Your photos will be there. Select the photo you want, then it will appear in your post.

Try to keep your photos more on the small size, that way you can fit more photos in your photo gallery.
