Just gotta brag!

Suzie and I went to the US Australian Shepherd Association Nationals to do some agility. It was our first trial and we came home with two Qs in Jumpers With Weaves (Novice A 20" ) and two 4th place ribbons--out of a class of about 15-17!! Woo hoooooo! I was so excited and thrilled! This photo was during a standard run. I didn't do too badly two of the three days in standard, just made one fatal error each day that disqualified us (knocked a bar down once, and bailed off above a contact the other time)--otherwise the runs were beautiful. The day this shot was taken, however, the run started off wrong and went downhill from there. I think we lost points on every obstacle from start to finish--except the table--LOL!! But you can't tell that from a photo--and it is a wonderful photo! Look how high she is above the double bar jump!! She is so talented--poor thing is stuck with me for a handler, but she makes do.

Last weekend we got a Q and 2nd place ribbon (by .04 second) in standard. So next trial (in August) we will return victorious with at least one title--maybe two!

...That's really good for your first few times out. WOW! I'm going ot be lucky my girl stays in the ring much less qualifies! Working on it, but wow! I'm proud of you two. My dog is "handler challenged" as well. I give her points for a good heart and lots of patience. She knows what to do, i'm the idiot. Yet, in her opinion, courses don't have to be done in order. YOu just go and do what you want- i guess i need to do gamblers or games huh? Oh well, good luck on your next time out.
