Well since there are actually posts here I guess I'll say hi and show my baby.

This is Parker, MiHi's B'Heirfoot in the Park, at just under 9 months.

He's our first Dane and we are so pleased! He's been an angel since day one (ok well I'm a stay at home puppy mom so that has helped) and is so much like his parents it cracks me up.
We were lucky that both mom and pop were in our area to meet and that we had a lot of support from the local Dane groups and rescue in learning what this breed is all about and how to go about finding a reputable breeder. Definately not our last Dane, although we are thinking rescue for the next!

Oh and he doesn't normally have gay tail, just in this pic!

Here's a good pic to give an idea of how big they get!
This is me - I'm 5' 3" and that is Parker at 8 months, and he is not an abnormally large Dane.

He's gorgeous! While I'm into greyhounds, myself, I know several wonderful Danes in the area, both from breeders and rescues. Wonderful dogs and somewhat similar, personality-wise to my greys, in that when it's playtime, they can get as wound up as any dog, but when playtime's over, they're bumps on the couch.

I think there's also someone in my area who has a greyhound and a dane together and unneutered- I have seen enough pups of this mix that it's got to be more than just chance. Amazing dogs, though- I think they get the best of both worlds!
