Well, somehow my tri (trying) colored dog pulled it off this weekend and got his OA title. The first run this weekend for him was a his jumpers run (open). He took 3 jumps and decided to go play with the dog leaving the ring. That dog was being held, so no fun there, but he looked around the ring and noticed he had not done the tunnel. He takes off to do the tunnel at the other end of the ring. Then he got a MAJOR!! case of the zoomies and ran around the ring for what seemed like 10 minutes. Of course after this run I was rethinking the wisdom of running him at all. His std run later that day was much better and by Sunday, he was really focused and ready to Q. He would have Q'd on his jumpers run, but got distracted while in the weaves by the barking dog on the warm up jump and blew his perfect run with only 2 more jumps to go. (I later learned of 3 other dogs this happened to.) And then his std run he aced it with a 100 and just 1/2 a second to spare. None of the other dogs in his class even Q'd so he also got first place. So now I can put him in Excellent. hahahahaha!
Digital, the good, also had a very good weekend, but only got 1 Q in std. We lost another std Q, because I forgot a jump (9 seconds under SCT so we had plenty of time to do that one jump) and he was 2 seconds over on his jumpers and 8 seconds over on his jumpers the next day. Two of the judges were new and wheeled really tight. I was looking at one of the wheel marks and in order for Digital to follow that line over the triple, he's have to rub the upright. But we did work really well together and had lots of fun.
