I know you guys get your cham fired up before you take a picture, but what do the different types look like when they're just chilling? How much of that color do they retain? (I'm referring to the different types of pather)

Finally someone who sees things my way! LOL.... I'm a firm believer in the beautiful non-fired up chameleon. That's why I like Nosy Be's. They're blue all the time, and if anything (to me) look better when calm than they do excited. Every Nosy Be pic I've ever posted has been my chameleon in a calm state. Sambava and Ambilobe panthers are usually a bright green with purple or reddish purple bands. Tamatave and Maroantsetras are basically a darker green color when calm with maybe some reddish bellies or bars. Ambanjas are also beautiful when calm, and can look like basically any combination of things. Usually a light blue or green background with either darker blue stripes or red stripes or a combination of the two. All of these can be variable, and any panther is a beautiful thing. I just think that since a panther is in it's relaxed colors 99 percent of it's life, they may as well be beautiful then and that's more important to me than anything else.
