First off what food are you feeding now?

If not using a premium food I would switch. Secondly canned green beens added to the food will help let you cut back on the amount of food you are using and still keep the dog feeling full. Just drain the juice off before using.

Hi there!
Val gave some excellent advice. About how much over weight is she? I would also add, a check to the vet to make sure she is healthy (no thyroid conditions, etc) and can do a good exercise program as well!
How much exercise is she getting now? (Being in the yard doesn't count<G> Long walks, playing ball for over 15 minutes, hikes, beach time, etc?
Less food, more movement will lower her weight (provided there is no medical condition) you can add green beans to fill in for the food your remove (they are LOW in calories and dogs love them!) Consider doing some thing fun and new with your dog as well, like carting, or Rally Obedience, etc.
Warmly,
