Aquarium thermometers in reptile terrarium ctx.

machinegun Oct 08, 2003 10:44 PM

I am using an aquarium thermometer in my corn snake’s terrarium, are these accurate for this type of use or should get a different thermometer?

Thanks

They're fine. From what I've seen, they're very accurate in air or water.
I have a swimming pool thermometer in one of my terrariums. I brought it
to work one day and checked it in a mil-spec chamber, and it was only off
by 2 degrees throughout it's entire range. It's a mercury-type and cost about $3.
