Hello everyone. I just wanted to post something about the way pit bulls are treated. I sure most of you are aware of the kind of abuse that many pit bulls must suffer through...Here is another account of abuse. I volunteer for a doggy rescue here in Southern California. I help out on adoption days which are held for a few hours every other weekend. Today, the rescue was expecting a pit bull puppy from a shelter a couple hours away. When she came, I was shocked. The pit pup had no ears. They were hacked away to bare nubs with GARDEN SHEARS. Her owner (and I use that term loosely) dragged her behind his car to toughen her up, so her paw pads were torn. They have healed nicely though. Suprisingly, the owner was not fined...but some individuals beat him up...so kudos to those individuals. This pit bull puppy is one of the sweetest, happiest dogs I've ever met. This goes to show how forgiving dogs are...especially dogs of this breed. What other species of animals would forgive you a second after you viciously mutilated it? Sometimes, I just have to wonder if we really are the most intelligent species on Earth. But much love to all those animal lovers and rescues out there.

Ah, poor girlie. Not a very nice introduction to the world, huh? Would you let us know what happens with her?

that alot of it has to do with the F'd up media. If they would quit talking about "idiotic" techniques then majority of the dumb people wouldn't try it. If they are that stupid to do that then chances are that they are not smart enough to come up with the idea either. You see? It is like a peel on an orange. One would not know it is the peel and call the entire thing an orange unless someone tells them that this is the peel and this is the fruit. This fruit is called an orange. Anyways, I hate to hear it. Surprising, he didn't get charged. Must not have had evidence of the worng doing but any person with sense can calculate the what if of a situation. When I get finished with my schooling I plan to open up a pit sanctuary, in divided kennels of course as my experince has shown accidents can happen and try to get the proper things needed to know out about the dogs. I hope the pup turns out ok. Keep us informed
