Pitbull colors?

twocatsmom Oct 01, 2003 11:10 AM

Hi, I have a question,
My hubby and I might get a pitbull puppy. The question i have is the mother is a golden buckskin and the father is known as a Silver color, i have never heard of silver color on a pitbull. Does anyone know what a Silver looks like? I was told it's almost a brown color, but i would assume it being a blue color.
If anyone has pictures of a Silver pit or know where to look at a pic of the silver color i would appreciate it.
Thanks

Gee, I wish I could help. Could cruising the net for APBT sites help?

The silver color is what you call Blue. If is has hints of buckskin or "light browny" then it is called a blue fawn or blue buckskin or whatever. Blue is merely grey.If you want to look at a duplicate color then look at a weimeraner. That is what color the pit is. But they to us experinced folks are not considered american pit bull terriers. They have been crossed so many times with am staffs that their blood is diluted and no longer considered a "true" am. pit bull terrier.
