River is making me crazy!! He is way to active for surgery. Even in his crate, he bounces around. It has only been a week!!
Other than that, he had some drainage from one area. I think that is cleared up now. Walking very well on it. He did chew out one stitch. That was during the drainage, now he seems to be leaving it alone. R

OMG! I do not envy you! I cannot imagine trying to keep a BC down and quiet. What a contridiction! LOL! Thanx for the update on River, I hope he continues to heal quickly and not drive you too crazy

You might try getting some lavender incense or some of the dried flowers and put then in a "sachet" kind of thing. The aroma of lavender is calming, as is sage & esp. clary sage. Or you could get a bottle of the essential oil of one of these and put some on a cloth. Any of these things can be put outside her crate so she can smell it. It doesn't have to be strong or overwhelming. This might hel to keep her more calm- or at least at intervals- while she has to stay quiet for her healing. Just a thought! Nancy
