Getting her ears to stand up & a training question

gigi Oct 29, 2003 08:10 AM

I heard that while a pup is teething their ears temporarily drop. My pup's ear did drop while she was teething. Now that she's finished teething, how can I get her ears to stand up again?

Another question I have is regarding her training. She has completed her basic training. However, since graduation, she doesn't want to do any of her commands she's learned. I can some times get her to do some commands if I give her treats. However, my trainer told me not to use treats when teaching her new commands. Its frustrating because I feel like all the time we spent training her has gone to waste. Does anyone have any suggestion on how to train Yorkies and getting to listen???? I know they are really bright & I see that in my pup, so please help.

thanks!

More training class! Find an instructor who does believe in using treats in training. You need more help, and you can have a lot of fun, too!

As far as the ears, hopefully a Yorkie person will answer on that!
