>>My dog trainer got a call from a family who recently adopted an English Bulldog. There was not a lot of info given and they do not want to pay her to come out and observe the dog. They say that the dog chases their young children and nips at them. They also say that the dog has nipped at their other dog. Is this normal behavior for an English bulldog? If they should give up this dog, which is probably going to happen, what type of home should he/she go to, or should he/she be euthanized?

If the dog came from a responsible breeder, that is who the dog should go to if the people give it up. The dog would not necessarily need to be euthanized. In SO many cases of dogs not doing well with children, there has been a lack of skillful adult supervision at a critical age for the puppy and child, and the dog simply needs to be placed in a home without kids and with a person sensible enough to control the dog around kids. As far as nipping at another dog, geeze, that only happens about 500 times a day at my house with three highly active dogs, and nobody gets hurt!
