i' think i've asked this question a dozon time but here is one more time. i need temp and humitiy gages for 5 cages. does that electronic temp gun ONLy take temps? and is it just a point and shoot deal? where can i get a temp gun and something to gage hunity for all the cages?

It just so happens we've also been shopping for an infrared thermometer. We've been browsing on eBay for one. This model is inexpensive and apparently is pretty acurate:

If the link doesn't work, just do a search for "digital handheld infrared thermometer" and you should find it.

When it comes to measuring temps and humidity, we have discovered this really great indoor/outdoor thermometer with humidity gauge at Walmart for just $15. They are, in our opinion, absolutely perfect for terrariums as they are weather-resistant and the probe can be either burried in substrate, stuck-on (has an adhesive) or attached with a screw (has an eyelet). They also record min/max temps *and* min/max humidity, plus it comes with optional clock display (you know, in case your lizard might like to know what time it is... LOL). Uh... I think it was in the gardening center. Look for all the big outdoor thermometers.

If you really can't find them, let me know and I can try and get one for you.
