We're signing up for Agility.. FINALLY!

aysel Nov 10, 2003 03:46 PM

hehe, we FINALLY get to sign up for Agility!!

Sophie is turning the big ONE in December. This week we are signing up for (hopefully if she passes the Secondary test) Novice Obedience and Beginners Agility! WOOHOO!

She is a good jumper, loves tunnels, and walks accross a plank with ease. In Kindergarten Puppy Training (KPT) the puppies had to go through an open agility tunnel and walk accross a plank sitting on top of two crates for a bit of a confidence building workout. They also did one or two days with a little jump/hop/walk over the lowest setting on a jump.

Anyway, WISH US LUCK!

A Dog Owner's Prayer

Oh Lord, don't let me once forget how I love my trusty pet.
Help me learn to disregard canine craters in my yard.
Show me how to be a buddy even when my sofa's muddy.
Don't allow my pooch to munch postal carriers for lunch.
Shield my neighbor's cat from view--guide my steps around the doo.
Train me not to curse and scowl when it's puppy's night to howl.
Grant I shan't awake in fear with a cold nose in my ear.
Give me patience without end--help me be my dog's "best friend".

YEAH! Good for you and Sophie! Isn't it a great feeling of accomplishment for you and your fur-kid and a wonderful "team" feeling. Can't wait to hear more about your training stories.

I just realized that I wrote "sophie is now officially signed up for Obedience" instead of "sophie is not officially signed up for Agility" LOL! She's been in obedience since she was 9 weeks old! Silly me..
