>>I have a 10 week old female Harlequin Great Dane puppy. She went to the vet monday for her second set of shots and the vet said she had started developing Rickets in her front joints. He gave me vitamins and said that they would go away, but I needed her on a brand name puppy food. I had her on Ol'Roy Large Breed Puppy formula at that time. So I swithed her over to Pedigree Puppy Formula which said it had the proper nutrition for bone growth in any and all breeds. I have noticed on some post on this forum where people say not to feed them puppy feed at all and feed the adult dog food. What do you all think I need to feed her? Thanks

Hi Josh! Welcome and good for you for being a concerned fur-daddy. Feeding is such a confusing thing. There are so many brands of dog food out there claiming to be the best. It is recommended that you feed a puppy formula until around 5 or 6 months of age, then switch to adult formula. As for what to feed, look at the labels of the bags. Look at the protien content, fatty content, and try to get a kibble with meat as the first ingredient. Personally, I feed Innova brand or Nutra Nuggets. Here are a few web sites with more info on them. Good luck and please keep in touch, we would love to hear more about your gal and see some pics of her! Take care
