I was talking to a women I know who use to bred and show danes. She said that she always feed her show dogs Eukanuba puppy feed until the were grown and then switched them over to Eukanuba adult feed. My female dane is 10 weeks old and has recently started bowing in her front legs. I have started her on Calcium pills and vitemans. I want the absoultete BEST feed possible for her to grow properly. Any information on what you think about this feed would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hello, you want a dog food that is low in Protein, so always check the bag and take him off the calicum pills. When Puppies, everyone it seems wants a tall, big dog qick. BUt if you don't let your pup grow the way nature intended you will, or the pup will pay the price later. A low protein diet in dry dog food, you want him or her to establish muscle and not just be all bones. Once he is full grown at 18 months then you cab switch him.

It is a no-no to give calcium. if you're going to give vitamins, the only accepted vitamins is Vitamin C and nothing else. Also you should feed your dane a dogfood that is approx. 23%protein and 12út. i suggest you act now before its too late.

i mean 12út not 12ut. lol.
