Gretal is 4 Months Old!

gojisho Dec 22, 2003 08:57 PM

She runs faster, plays harder and whines louder, but we love her more!! My worry is this.... We have a dachshund; known for back problems. I have a little one that looks like a bouncing ball. She jumps, runs, dodges, turns on a dime and has no fear of our two cats. What should I be doing with this delicate spine of the dachshund that lives in a four month old puppy that thinks it is a kangaroo!!

Kathy

PS
Potty training is going very well. She loves being outside, loves to be chased when she has a toy in her mouth in spite of the cold weather.

I'm so glad things are going well.

Well...when it comes to the spine, just try to keep her from jumping off high places, falling or twisting her back. We have a dachshund for 12 years that never had any back problems at all and she did alot of running, jumping, etc. The Dachshund my folks now have, doesn't jump well, so we don't have to worry about her jumping too much. She does like to run like crazy though.
