Is my dog right for agility?

DodgerandJager Dec 23, 2003 07:45 PM

I know agility isn't for every dog. My dog is a really lean, semi tall dog. Mixed with god know's what. My guess is German Shepherd, Basenji, and Border Collie. He is extremely fast. Loves to jump and run. We have a baby gate up in teh hallway and he will just run back and forth jumping over it lol So I thought that he would be a good fit for agility. Are mixed breeds allowed to do the agility courses? I think it would be fun to do that kind of thing, for me and him.

Agility is for fun with your dog. Any and all dogs are welcome! With the exception of AKC which is for registered breeds only. Your dog sounds like it would really enjoy agility. My dogs love it and we have a great time
