Not really. Have the veterinarian evaluate the dog's weight and advise as to the amount to try next. You'll need to monitor weight and keep adjusting the dog's food to keep the weight healthy. That's pretty much a lifelong thing with dogs! Labs will not stop eating when they've had enough, so you have to regulate their food. This is true with most other dogs, too. You don't want any dog to be fat, and this goes double for a Lab. They are prone to crippling hip dysplasia, and the risk is increased in overweight Lab puppies and adult dogs.
