how to do agility just for fun?

savigeckolvr Jan 24, 2004 10:07 AM

Hi, does anyone know or can point me in the right direction on how to do some agility with Savannah in our spare time just for fun like in our backyard or something. She will already jump up and down off of stuff on command, and loves jumping, running, and playing frisbee, fetch, and tug of war (although I limit the last one lol). I think she would be great at agility, but I'm in SC and don't really know of anywhere that offers stuff like that. Here's a pic of Savannah, as you can see she looks very athletic Thanks,
Heather

Hi! Welcome! Before I got some of my own agility equipment I used things around the house. For instance, you can get a brick and a plank and make a teeter, you can also use the plank laying flat and have your dog go over it then use bricks to get it up off of the ground. PVC pipe works well for making jumps. Just a few ideas

Yes, pvc pipe can be an agility person's best friend. Just use common sense to make many of the obstacles, and you can find plans on the internet. Good luck and yes, your dog looks athletic and seems like it would have fun in agility!!

Good luck!
