Sinus or Allergies in 5 month Old Yorkie?

gojisho Feb 06, 2004 08:16 PM

Is anyone else experiencing this within this breed? Our vet has suggested allergy medicines, keeping her in her crate with breathing treatments.

When she gets excited, she sounds very nasal and sniffs and coughs quite a bit. She has been treated with antibiotics two times.

She was breeded on a farm around chickens. We are not sure there is a conection or not. Anyone with some insight would be very helpful.

Have your "vet" xray the dogs trachea. Yorkies Also have what sounds like "reverse sneezing". Neither of these problems is due to allergies or sinus problems. Your vet should know this, and know the symptoms of each problem.

Statistically, the average breeder remains in a breed for five years. The mark you leave on that breed, good or bad, is entirely up to YOU!
