Very SERIOUS Barking Problem.

Hello everyone,
Jinx is my 2 year old Yellow Male that I've had for about 5 months. He an amazing Dog given to us by a family who couldn't care for him anymore. Since day one we discovered he was quite the "barker", I know most labs are, but Jinx just won't shut up. He barks at us so we take him out or feed him, or play w/ him or give him toys or yell at him.....it does nothing because he starts up again later. When were not home its worsebecause he disturbs the neighbors. I live in an apartment and I also have 2 other dogs, "Champ" a 5 month old yellow male and "Vegas" an 11 week old Australian Shepherd. The apartment is big, very big. And I live 3 houses from the beach so the dogs are on it w/ me everyday running. Theyget plenty of excercise. RECENTLY, the cops were called on us for excesive barking. We don't want to get evicted or give up jinx. The other dogs are pretty quiet but its he who has the problem. We have set up obedience training for him but its not until March 12th. SOOOO, I bought the bark Control collar. I'm not sure if it's working though....when he barks he does stop but I don't think he's getting it because he does it again and again. Does anyone have any experience w/ these collars? Or does anyone have any other ideas to keep Jinx quiet?
please help.

I don't expect you'll be able to wait until March to get training help with this dog. See if your veterinarian can recommend a private trainer. Unless you own that apartment, you're at high risk of being evicted.

I think the collar is working, last night and this morning Jinx would bark once, twice, maybe 3 times and just stop. I also noticed he'll bark really loud the first time and then take it down a notch to a low winey bark before stopping.... He also seems quite calm. I hope it's working. I spoke to my landlord this morning and we talked about the situation. He is a dog lover himself and he told me to do my best w/ keeping him and the other 2 quiet, and he also told me not to be worried. He said he would be talking to the neighbors today to tell them there going to have to deal w/ it while I wait for training.
Atleast that's some good news!
