Maybe you could be more specific about the things that could go wrong or what I should be looking for? She has trouble at times with bowel movements and her appetite is off. Is this normal?

If a dog isn't acting pretty normal within a couple of days after spay surgery, I'd want a veterinarian to check her. Some have more difficulty than others, but most dogs feel better very quickly.
