Anyone ever breed english bulldogs?

Tabetha Mar 08, 2004 01:17 AM

I own a male and a female english bulldog. They are both 2.5 years old I was going to breed them but I have chickened out cause I love my female way to much and I would die if anything happened two her. So I just wanted to know if anyone has had success with breeding and if it changed the way the female acted?
I mean like my female is not snotty enough. She is so funny if she is mad at you she gives you dirty looks and rolls her eyes its the funniest thing. She even watches TV she loves it.

It's my understanding that very few English Bulldog moms can deliver naturally, that almost all the pups have be delivered by C-Section.

Yes, they should be artificial inseminated and have a C-Section cause the puppies heads are to big to pass threw the birthing canal. If they give natural birth its a higher risk to the mom and the puppies. You can let them mate naturally but then you take the chance of the male hurting himself or the female because they are so short.
