Now that I am the proud owner of a 3 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback?
Thank you Jeran and Jim of Central Texas Rhodesian Ridgeback Rescue
for hooking me up with Sasha. I think she likes it here!
Thank you PHKeeper(Cheryl) for hooking me up with CTRRR, and PHChristy, PHFasdog(Melody), and everyone else that has given me a helping hand. I think that this was the best dog choice for me.
and CTRRR made it a less painful experience thhan I anticipated.

Jeff, welcome to the wonderful world of dogs! And to start out with a sighthound and a rescue dog ... well, you just can't get any smarter than that!

I know you and Sasha will have many happy years together. Congratulations and welcome, Sasha!

Jeff, congratulations on your new dog! Sasha is a really great looking dog and she looks to be very happy in her new forever home, you can always tell a happy dog! Welcome to the wonderful world of rescue, there is nothing more rewarding than giving a new forever home to a dog that otherwise may never have had the chance to be truly wanted. I should know as I have three shiba inu's and two came from shiba rescue.

Not used to visualizing you with non-scaly critters... hehehehe

Congrats, though - she looks like a great choice!

Jeff congrats on the new fur kid!! I really only know what I've read on the message boards about Ridge Backs, but from that I know you've made a great choice!!

Giving a rescue a second chance is a wonderful thing to do!! You will be blessed a hundred fold for your kindness!

Jeff - We want to thank you for rescuing a dog in the first place! Sasha is a sweet girl and we feel she will thrive in your home. She came to us from a kill shelter in Amarillo several months ago and we have been searching for just the right new home for her. She needs a home where she will get oodles of attention and lots of daily interaction and love. The best we were able to figure out was that Sasha had been either lost or her owner had possibly passed away leaving her alone in the world and she was taken to the shelter. She was in good physical condition when she came into our care, but was terrified and very shaken up after 5 weeks in a shelter environment. She is used to being an only dog and getting tons of love and attention and having someone with her every day - so we wanted to recreate that if at all possible with her adoption. Plus Miss Sasha is a big time flirt. Just remember - counter surfing is a RIDGEBACK BREED TRAIT! (As are pillow hogging, stiff legging you off the bed at night, slurping you right in the mouth when you least expect it, and deciding that obedience training is BOOORRRRING and leaving the class the before you do.) You and Sasha are going to have so much fun!

Congreyts on the world of dog ownership! I think she is quite gorgeous and a perfect addition to your family. I'm so glad you got her.

Jeran, thanks for letting Jeff have such a wonderful girl! He'll get lots of advice from fellow sighthound owners.
