Big Brag!

CharStuff Mar 25, 2004 11:32 AM

Hi all! Just gotta brag about my gal Reata. We competed in a USDAA trial hosted by my club. We were in 4 classes on Sat and 3 on Sun. The first class on Sat was Jumpers and Reata got a 2nd and qualifying ribbon out of 22 dogs! Then we ran pairs relay and we got another qualifying ribbon! The rest of the weekend went well also, however, we blew it in gamblers because I gave the wrong command, then in our standard run she popped off her contacts. Sun we started off with snooker and we were really doing well, however, the very last jump she knocked the bar off We did well in gamblers too, but didn't get enough points to place. The last run was the standard run and for some reason Reata was great but her handler (me) had a brain fart and just could not get it together! LOL! But, all in all we had a great fun time. She impresses me more and more all the time.

A Dog Owner's Prayer

Oh Lord, don't let me once forget how I love my trusty pet.
Help me learn to disregard canine craters in my yard.
Show me how to be a buddy even when my sofa's muddy.
Don't allow my pooch to munch postal carriers for lunch.
Shield my neighbor's cat from view--guide my steps around the doo.
Train me not to curse and scowl when it's puppy's night to howl.
Grant I shan't awake in fear with a cold nose in my ear.
Give me patience without end--help me be my dog's "best friend".
