Cocker Spaniel w/Epilepsy

My 3 year old female cocker, had a seizure yesterday and my Vet thinks she may have Epilepsy. We'll know more when our blood tests get back on Monday. Has anyone else had this with your cocker spaniel or dog? I'd like to chat with anyone who has experienced this, it scared me to death! Any info will be greatly appreciated! Luci

I'm sorry to hear this. I've not had a dog with Epilepsy, but my uncle did and so did my brother. Both dogs were on medication all their lives, and it really cut down on the seizures. Seizures are more uncomfortable for us to watch, than it is for the dog. How bad was his seizure?
