Do beagles bark alot?

Ok i want to get a beagle but my parents say they bark to much and i want to know if you can train them not to bark.

It's unlikely you would be able to train a Beagle to be quiet. It's not barking, it's baying. They were bred to do this so the hunters can keep track of the pack of Beagles. Many Beagles lose their homes because people adopt them who do not know this, and neighbors cannot tolerate the noise. A Beagle needs to live inside, especially at night. If you live in an apartment, of course that will not help with the noise problem, but if you live in a house, it will.
