Sasha Update 2 - Training Begins!

jeffb Apr 05, 2004 06:27 PM

Ok we went to our first training session together this weekend.
Luckily no little yip dogs were present so there were no major problems. Sasha got along well with the other dogs, although she
didn't participate in the communal labrador lickfest, she had fun. She learned how to sit, and I learned how to get her attention.

We did some basic clicker training and they gave us some
Bil Jack as a training treat to use. Interesting, it looks just like the italian sausage that I used to use when I made pizzas
for the local pizza parlor when I was young.

Sasha's trainer is a woman named Trish Jones, who has been working at Triple Crown for about a year, after working at a shelter in Oakland, Ca. She's very outgoing and gets along well with sasha and me. I will be writing some articles about Triple Crown and the training in general for the web site so stay tuned.

Good Job Sasha and Jeff.

Pssst but don't eat the BilJack treats they are not as tasty as they look. I know this first hand.

Dogs come into our lives, and too quickly go leaving pawprints on our hearts, and we will never be quite the same again.
