DOGS AND BULLETS DON'T MIX!!!!

TANZEE Apr 26, 2004 01:12 AM

Hey everyone. I just needed to vent some anger to someone, and hopefully you all will understand my pain and anger at the moment.
Someone that I know has just an adorable fun loving dog named Jacks. This guy and his dog recently moved into his cousin's home and I guess the dog had an accident on the carpet.
This guy has decided he is going to shoot his dog in the head. I told him this was wrong because there is nothing wrong with his dog at all, it was just stress over the environment change.
I even offered to take the dog to the vet myself and pay for the delivery fee.
This guy thinks it is cruelty to have an animal in an impound. But I have explained to him that up here in Canada's north we have a great system at the local SPCA. They have dog walking and dog training. Volunteers are always going in and playing with the dogs.
But he told me that since he has been looking after his dog, feeding it, loving it, that he can do what he wants with it.
Unfortunately there are no laws that can save this inocent dogs life.
Maybe I should go kidnap his dog. I feel that is the only thing that I will be able to do.
What is wrong with people when they are so selfish that they can't live without their precious dog so they have to go and kill it so that it doesn't have to live with another good family.
Thanks for listening everyone!

OMG! What a STUPID person! No laws huh? Yeah, I'd go and kidnap the dog, but then what would this person do to you? He's seriously thinking about killing the dog??? I'd be scared of him myself, people like that are just plain violent. STAY AWAY FROM HIM! If he could do that to a dog that he loves and cares about, he could be violent towards people that he loves and cares about also. And he does own a gun? Seriously, take the dog if you can (but don't put yourself in any danger), but then get far far away from this lunatic! This is not NORMAL behavior!!!

Yes, it is so horrible. I have three young children under the age of 7, and so I have banned this idiot from my house because I feel that if someone does not have respect for life, whether it be humans, or animals, then they should not be around my children.
I don't know if he has a gun, but he could easily get one. Rifles up here are very common for hunting caribou and other northern meat, so he wouldn't have any troubles.
It's just plain selfish of him to do this.
What I am going to do is either kidnap the dog (I'm not worrying about my safety-he stays in a bunch of row houses so there is lots of light), or tell him that my parents are going to take the dog and then just bring it to the vet. Yes, he would be pissed off with me if he found out i lied but I don't care, I'm not even associating with him right now anyway.
It's just amazing that he thinks my opinion on this whole thing is totally out of whack. He thinks I am the one with the problem!!!!
I'll have to keep everyone in here informed of what happens over the next few days.

Yes, please let us know what happens, that poor dog. This guy just seems off kilt. I don't know what you mean by "I'm not worrying about my safety-he stays in a bunch of row houses so there is lots of light", I live in Mid-West America. I hope the doggy finds a safe place, people like that should never be able to get their hands on animals.

I am pretty sure if some one in this state kills their dog they get charges brought against them. Like our weird neighbor that ran his dog over repeatedly with his truck. He was given I think 1 yr prison with all but 6 months peroled. He wasn't allowed to own pets after that. Of course he moved to SC.

There is no law up here against animal abuse. Well, I mean, if someone did something like abuse their dog, they will just get it taken away from them..but if they brought it out to the bush and shot it, they would not get in any trouble.
I live in Canada, in the North West Territories, so there are a lot of sled dogs up here that are abandoned and neglected. But it is illegal to go on to someone else's property to kidnap these poor animals, yet it is NOT illegal to neglect them...pathetic isn't it!?

LOL!! Yeah, I live in Canada...not as much violence!
I just meant that if I were to go steal the dog, it's not like he is going to go and whip out a gun or something! Up here in the North West Territories people only own rifles and that is for hunting...and still not many people have one. I don't know where he would get a gun from to shoot his dog though...

Ohh My Gosh!!!! I just got into the conversation today and I was almost tempted to report animal abuse on that physco that was planning on killing the poor little puppy dog.But i didn't want to get involved,I think that that i SO ID-I-O-TIC!!!
If there is anything a 12 yr. old girl(me)knows, it is NEVER HURT ANYONE OR ANYHING!!!!!!!! What the person needs to do is imagine that he was that dog...would he wan to get shot in the head????!?!?!?!?!? Any Way keep us informed, please!
