We headed to the nationals about 10 days ago, with high hopes of the baby Grins doing something in coursing, and of Obie having fun, and MAYBE passing his obedience class.
Needless to say, Obie BLEW his obedience, and I mean BLEW it LOL
Coursing was another story. First time as a finished Field Champ, he pulled away a 1st and 40 points towards his LCM, beating some of the top dogs in the country! To top it off brother Wings went 2nd in another flight of FCH's, brother Bob went 4th in a flight of Open, and half brother Brooks went NBQ as a veteran(Next best qualifier). All four of my Kyra kids placed, I was so tickled. New boy Grins picked up a 2nd, so I was way tickled.
Obie's neice made it to the last cut in futurity, and was 5th, and then Obie's newphew Umbra, out of the bitch I lost in Feb, made it through 2 cuts in the BBE class. From 30 dogs to the last 9, and we were the last no name left. I left that class feeling good, and crying so hard, because Rinka's not here to celebrate with 
ALl in all, it was a great, exhausting week!
