Poop and piss frequency?

HI,
I just picked up my new beagle pup, but he doesn't poo or pee as much as i expected. I feed him 1/2 a cup 3x a day and take him out about 8 times a day. He only goes about 2x a day and maybe pees about once or twice a day. Is this normal? I assume he's still adjusting.

Doesn't sound normal to me. How old is he, though? If he is 6-12 weeks that is not normal. I have a beagle mix puppy she just turned 3 months and she poops 2-3 times a day and pees at least once every hour. If it were me I would get a thorough vet check done, some other people may know more about this.
