A little about me real quick...

Snakey May 19, 2004 06:22 AM

I have been coming here for a long while now and havne't been in thiese parts for a little bit. I have posted things I thought would be relevant to what some of you have asked.

I have dealt with the breed for more appx 17yrs and have plenty of stories I could tell you regarding the breed.

I am also a motorccle enthusiast so if you have a question feel free to ask. LIke I stated in one of the posts. I believe it is unfair that this breed get the steriotype when the person/s giving the report made a mistake on what the breed was or a few bad apples struck a nerve with the media.

The same goes for mototrscycle stunters. Not all of us are crazed individual that seek to "freak" out other drivers on the road or risk bodily injury to others. I find it quit funny at times that people think that the motorcycle riders endanger others when they are the ones with a seat belt and behind a steel armored vehicle and we are free to the elements. Then they'll call the police stating that you are endangering them. I could never get that. But most of what we do is done on and in closed areas where the general public cannot go to make things as stress free as possible with us and the aggresive, non-looking, non-blind spot checking, vehicular drivers that do and can kill us in a flash without even batting an eye twice. But yet we are penalized daily. The same goes for the breed. It is not all of them or all of us that seek out trouble. Most of the stunt scene take major precautions before starting an event at the many locations such as car shows. The same goes for the breed whose owners take precations to make a good example of the breed as we do the stunt scene.

Well, this is getting long, so if you have questions feel free to ask. Its 6:00am and its time for bed. Gotta but up by 8:00am. I can tell its going to be a long day......

This is my current dog....I got her as their are MANY laws where I am located right now and is in my best interest to obtain a breed that is not on the "hit list" of dogs to be banned. This breed is also alot more rare so that makes a big difference when statistics are concerned. I bought her for $1700 and have researched the hell out of this breed as trhey have ALOT of problems. They have problems like poatella problems, blindness, deafness, kidney problems, skin problems, sunburns when in the sunlight, ALOT have severe allergies that need to be treated daily with med's to subside them. The cheapest ones I have seen are about $950-$1000 but these have not been check nor have the parents been checked for any of these ailments. When you pay the extra buck, and this goes for APBTs too, then you get what you pay for. Her parents are DNA checked for these probs and she carries no genetic problems.

Well, that's enough about her... If you have questions ask....

Wow! Cool. I know what you mean about people and their attitudes about motorcycles. We race flat track motorcycles. Its like their attitudes with this breed of dog too. . .
