My yorkie loves to run and play in the yard. Is there an electronic containment system suitable for such a small dog?
I don't know if they have a "small dog" version. I would think that the regular electronic fences are too strong for a toy dog. Also, electronic fences only keep your dog in, they do nothing to keep big dogs out and that can be a very real hazard. I'd stick with a traditional fence, chain link etc.

I totally agree with Joan, electronic fencs don't keep other dogs out and we had a dog mauled by 2 other dogs recently in the neighborhood. The dog in its yard couldn't leave because of the electronic fence, but the other dogs got in with no problems and tore him up pretty good. Chain link makes a wonderful containment. Either way, I wouldn't leave my dog outside very long alone. Just my personal opinion. You never know what could happen.
