What's the difference between American and German?

SherriMarie Aug 12, 2004 01:03 PM

I recently rescued a Rott puppy. Well I say puppy, he's 7 months old. I was told he was fullblooded; when I went to pick him up I was told that his mother is a short-haired German and his father is an American Rottweiler. What's the difference???? As this is my first Rott I have no clue.(I have American White English Bulldogs)The only reason I ask is because a lot of people keep saying he's a mixbreed.Personaly I don't care. He's GREAT. But I was just curious. Any info would be wonderful. Thanks

congrats on the new puppy WE WANT PICS!!!

I far as I know the only difference is where they were born but, maybe some of the breeders on here can give tell you if there's an actual difference.
