New Beagle Puppy

audmonkey Aug 16, 2004 10:47 AM

Hi, I'm new and just got a beagle puppy. She is 8 weeks old. My mom has got me all worried now from her hearing stories of difficult beagles, of them barking and such. I live in an apartment and I am curious if there's any way to keep her from that. I really do not want to quit and give her up so if I could get any suggestions of training or anything I can do to prevent her from barking too much it would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks for reading my post!

Beagles were bred to be loud, and often get evicted from apartments. I do not know of a sure-fire way to prevent this problem. They do best in homes where they live indoors and don't share walls with neighbors.
