New beagle owner

Hi, I recently bought 2 male beagles. I've had them for a week and they are now 10 weeks old. I've done the research, so I know they're a stubborn breed. However, I was wondering if anyone had any housebreaking tips.

The boys were getting good at the routine me and my boyfriend set up for them: going outside every 3 hours to go to the bathroom; going outside after eating and playing, going outside when I come home from work for lunch, going outside when my boyfriend gets home from work, etc. But for the past two days, they've been messing in their playpen again and they won't use the pee pads like they used to. I'm not sure why they're going backwards on their progress. Any ideas?

Also, the boys have a hard time responding to the word "no". And they constantly play fight. Is it normal for them to bite ears ,tails, throats and faces almost all the time? Any information you can give me or point me to would be greatly appreciated. We love our beagles and want to raise them the *right* way.

Take care,
Angelique

Raising two puppies at the same time is quite a challenge, and they need time apart and time one-on-one training with the humans. Every three hours may very well not be often enough for them to go out at that age. You've really got your hands full there, and it's time to get some help from either a good puppy class (one for each pup, separately) or a private trainer.
