Typical Length of time to keep ears taped?

firebretha Sep 30, 2004 09:54 PM

I have been looking thru the web and lotsa diff things are said.

But I just wanted to hear what you guys had to say about it.

After recieving your puppy at "9" weeks of age, how long should you keep their ears taped?

Thanks!!!

Ive been wondering the same thing. We had our little man's ears cropped at 10wks and they are still taped at 14 wks

Actually a month seemed to be the trick, we just removed them last night and they are standing!!!!!!

You might find you lose some ground with ears when your puppy starts teething, that's pretty common.

There really is no "set" length of time it takes for ears to stand-there are too many variables involved. I've had long show crops that stood after being posted for 10 days total, I know of others where it took almost a year to get both ears standing.
