English Mastiff Question

Hi,

I have a question... Is the English Mastiff considered the largest (heaviest,biggest,etc.) Dog breed in the world? I was just curious. Not really planning to get one, but a friend of mine has one. Lydia

I believe the English mastiff is concidered the heaviest but the Irish Wolfhound is the tallest. This is based on the written standard which is used to judge them and that breeders are aiming their breeding programs for.
