We brought home two adults dachsunds yesterday. One is 6 and the other 7 years old. We have two house cats and so far the dogs are terrorizing the cats and insist on chasing them wildly. Does anyone have any suggestions on training these adult dogs to not chase the cats? Can adult dachsunds be integrated into a home with adults cats? Also with dachsunds, do they tend to hurt cats if they catch them?

Dachshunds were originally bred to handle badgers, so yes, could be dangerous to cats. The cats can hurt them, too. You don't want to allow any chasing, or leave them alone together until you are totally sure they won't chase. That time may or may not come. The two dogs will likely be more aggressive with the cats than one dog would be, due to pack behavior.
The goal is to teach them to be calm around each other and to allow no chasing at all. It will likely take time.
