Play or exercises

Are there any great exercises or play for a male doberman to let his energy out. He tends to get that puppy energy around evening time and will just skitter scatter around the house. He'll run up to you with those hyper cat eyes and tail, that he has wiggling. Then when you go to pet him sometimes he'll take off real fast but only for maybe acouple steps the other way but it is like almost a game, not that he is scared. So need some tips on good "wearing" out games

Thanks

Teach him to retrieve/fetch. This is the very healthiest game for dogs.

If you have a fenced area where your puppy can be off leash, then throwing a ball about a 1000 times should do the trick - LOL! I have one of those ball thrower thing-a-ma-bobbers. You put a tennis type ball in it and fling it - it goes farther than I can throw it for sure. I use 2 or 3 balls and work on getting my bitch to bring a ball back to me before throwing the next one - that way I don't have to be running all over the place to get the ball away from her. Good luck!
