I'd like to start a discussion with people who have a doxie that recovered completely from a bout of disc disease without surgery. I've checked out the Dodgerslist forum and it has some good info but it's pretty focused on surgery and postsurgical care. We have just one little guy, who's coming along pretty well with rest and prednisone, but I'm wondering if the future holds more episodes of pain for him and whether I should consult a surgeon before his situation degrades. Also, what has worked for supplements and meds?
