There is a beautiful boy at a shelter nearby, well actually they had to move him to a foster home because he was losing weight from stress. He weighs 80lbs when healthy, is very sweet and calm, and his foster mom says he's quite the couch potato.

Everything I've read says that they are the opposite, since they were born for hunting they need gentle control at all times and need to be constantly reminded who's boss. I've also been reading that they all need vigourous exercise constantly. Winter seems to glare in the face of all these typical characteristics? Is that common? Is it likely that once he gets settled into a forever home his personality will change much?
