My cousin and her family, who have genuinely done their homework, came to me for help in locating a good, responsible GSD breeder in Northern California for a family dog.
Her husband grew up with GSDs. They have two children, around 12-13 I believe, a fenced yard in a dog-friendly neighborhood. I was a bit hesitant at first but when talking to her, I discovered she had a friend who did SAR with a GSD who had really told her basic facts of the breed. Although they'd be a terrible home for my breed, I think a GSD would work in their family very well. I would feel comfortable recommending them as a home, and not because we are related. <G>
All the suggestions for breeders I've come up with are a thousand miles or more away from them, and they very much want to meet the breeder and their puppy in person. Does anyone know a really good breeder they could recommend in Northern CA who I might steer my cousin toward? Thank you!
