Possible Adoption

As I previously posted, we recently added a JRT female pup to our household. Well, my vet contacted me the other day and asked if I would be willing to take in a JRT male. The family who is looking for a new home for him is moving overseas and can't take him with them. The JRT is 2 yrs; neutered; and up to date on his shots.

My family has discussed this at length and we are willing to help this family out. They are supposed to bring him for a visit tomorrow to see how he gets along with us.

Fortunatly, this guy sees the same vet Abby does, so all his records can stay where they are.

Now, my question (finally)
---what is the best way to introduce these guys? Since Abby is still just a pup, will she in anyway feel territorial? I've been told to "wait and see" but I want to be prepared for it if possible.

Neutral ground to both dogs is the best place to start. Ideally both on leash, plenty of space, and the area fenced. Bring both in and walk and play with them apart, slowly closer together, until you're satisfied they want to play and not fight. Then try them off-leash. It would be helpful to do it a few times prior to the homecoming, but once may work fine if that's not feasible.

One way to do it at home is crate one dog at a time and let them see each other through the crate until you can see they don't feel aggressive toward each other. Then take them into the largest fenced area you have, for them to be able to run around and express full body language as they get to know each other.
